Prior to harvest, grapes are continually sampled and their quality assessed. Maison Plantevin wines use hand-harvested grapes only. The grapes are brought directly into the winery and immediately processed in order to minimize oxidation.
During fermentation, the temperature of the wines is monitored and controlled. Cold fermentation method is employed for all types of wine to bring out freshness and fruitiness. Our red wines go through malolactic fermentation after alcoholic fermentation is complete.
The levels of free and total SO2
in the finished wine is lower than the French set standard for the maximum allowed levels of SO2
Prior to bottling, our wines are tasted,sampled and analysed regularly. Our wines are blended to express the specific terroir in each of the wines.
